Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

Get trained in as few as 84 weeks as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Pasadena, California

At Integrity College of Health in Pasadena, our Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is designed to prepare students to enter this fast-growing sector of the healthcare industry. Also known as Ultrasound Technicians, Diagnostic Medical Sonographers are trained medical professionals who use special equipment to direct high frequency sound waves into a patient’s body.

Using sophisticated equipment, Ultrasound Technicians produce images of internal organs, soft tissue, and blood vessels, as well as observe developing fetuses in the womb. In this 84-week program, students learn to use specialized equipment and are prepared for immediate entry-level positions in the field through a combination of coursework, clinical labs, and access to the innovative SonoSim training technology. Students also receive real-world on-the-job experience through a Clinical Experience.

Students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program learn how to:

  • Verify patient history and health status
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, record and analyze findings in real time during the exam, and communicate findings with interpreting and referring physicians
  • Select and capture the best images, take measurements and make calculations
  • Evaluate tests and images relating to a patient’s condition
  • Communicate with patients and physicians as needed
  • Consult with medical professionals on patient results

Graduates will receive a Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Very proud to say I graduated here. There was so much support. I chose a smaller college because I wanted a chance to really connect with the staff and that's exactly what I got! [The Staff] is a true gem, really pushed me in the way that I needed, FOREVER GRATEFUL…My clinical experience readied me for the real world. Can't say enough how grateful I am to have graduated here. But when you make the decision to start, WORK HARD. nothing will get handed to you.
